The Pierce County auditor’s office, which supervises elections countywide, will host its annual candidates workshop April 2 from 6 to 8 p.m.
The workshop will be held at the county election center, located at 2501 S. 35th St. (suite C) in Tacoma. Individuals interested in attending are asked to RSVP at www.piercecountyelections.org or by phone (253) 798-2634.
“Our goal is to ensure that every candidate is prepared to comply with the law and is armed with accurate information. I urge candidates, campaign managers and key volunteers to attend. It’s free and informative,” said Auditor Julie Anderson.
Information at the workshop will include:
• Filing for office.
• State Public Disclosure Commission requirements (a PDC staff member will be present to answer questions).
• Details needed for submitting your voters’ pamphlet statement.
• Website tools.
• Voter registration information.
• Obtaining data and maps from the auditor’s office.
Vendors offering campaign services will be present to answer questions in a “vendor fair” format.
