Academic honors accompanied on-the-mat accomplishments for two wrestlers from Eatonville High School during the 2013-14 season.
Chuck Trinidad was named the WIAA’s academic state champion among 182-pound wrestlers, and Dylan Man received academic honorable mention in the 160-pound category.
Trinidad finished third in the regional tournament and Mann placed fourth to qualify for the 1A state championships in Tacoma last month, where the seniors completed their high school wrestling careers.
WIA (Washington Interscholastic Activities Association) is the state’s governing body of high school sports.
