A head-on crash on New Year’s Day on State Route 7 left one person dead and six others hospitalized.
The State Patrol reported that Glenn Fitting, 48, of Eatonville died as a result of the crash that occurred Wednesday in the 31200 block of the highway in the Graham area. Fitting was the only person in the car that he was driving, troopers said.
The other accident victims – two adults and four children – were taken to hospitals in Tacoma. The extent of their injuries wasn’t reported.
According to the State Patrol, the vehicle driven by Fitting crossed the center line of SR-7 and collided with the other vehicle.
The highway was blocked for more than four hours after the accident, which was under investigation.

I talked with someone who helped in this accident. I was informed Glen thought he was having a heart attack and thought the aid of fire department or other would take to long and he felt he should drive. In this I find that it is not a wise choice and the chance he took caused him his life and harmed others. So, if any of you out there have issues like this or similar please call 911 and let Dispatch take care of you. They are very experianced in these things and will makesure you will come out better than Glen did in this choice. Im sorry for Glen but he taught us a lesson and this is one time Glen should havedialed 911 from homeor at least stopped at the nearest fire department.

Glenn was a friend of mine we went to High School together I will miss Glenn and I feel terrible for his family and that of the other family in this accident. Given the circumstances of a possible heart attack and knowing where Glenn lived he may have felt that help may not have been able to find him easily, but we can definately take this as a lesson to be learned. Sad Day.

My condolences go to the family & friends of Glenn Fitting & to the family of the people that were in that terrible accident. I too, knew Glenn in Jr. High & High School in Orting, I remember him as a very nice guy, always friendly to all. When I heard his name on the news, about what happened, my heart just dropped. The accident was just a mile or so from where I live & it is a very tragic thing to happen to anyone. Rest in Peace Glenn. You will be greatly missed by all who knew & loved you.
