Dianne Louise (Wehr) Fincham passed away at 6:50 p.m. on June 18 in Tacoma General Hospital. A former resident of Lehighton, Penn., she resided in Eatonville, Wash. for the past 16 years with her husband of 44 years, Robert L. Fincham. She was very proud of the 20 years she spent as an English teacher at Tamaqua Area High School in Pennsylvania and would often speak lovingly of her students and the ways they interacted with her. After moving to the west coast in 1986, she became an active partner with her husband in a rare conifer nursery and gained many new friends in another part of the country. She was a caring and giving person who survived cancer and was free of this dreaded disease, perhaps the proudest achievement of her life. She is survived by her father, Thomas Wehr of Lehighton, her brother, Gary Wehr in Florida, her husband, Robert Fincham of Eatonville, and a son, Eric Fincham of Tacoma, Wash. A celebration of Dianne’s life will be announced at a later date to take place in Eatonville. Please consider making donations in her name to the American Cancer Society.
