Clubs, charities and civic organizations can raise money for their causes by manning the Eatonville Visitor Center this summer.
The Visitor Center Committee, a volunteer group that helps manage the town-owned facility, is offering organizations opportunities to volunteer at the center. They can also provide coffee, water, tea or other refreshments to sell on a donation basis, with proceeds going to them, while directing out-of-town visitors to our local businesses and help them navigate their trips to destinations such as Mount Rainier and Alder Lake.
The commitment from organizations is to man the Visitor Center manned from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on a Friday, Saturday and Sunday, with at least one adult on-site at all times.
Groups have been signing up, according to the committee. Available dates and other information is available from Alana Smith, coordinator of committee activities, at 360-219-5879.
