Graddy All-State in soccer

3:54 pm January 28th, 2013

Machaela Graddy’s prowess as a soccer player at Eatonville High School has gained statewide attention with her selection for the All-State class 1A team for the 2012 season.
The honor was voted on by members of the Washington State Soccer Coaches Association (WSSCA). Graddy was chosen as a forward.
It’s the second post-season award for Graddy. Nisqually League coaches named her the league’s Most Valuable Player on offense and part of the All-Nisqually squad.
Graddy scored 27 goals and logged 13 assists during the season in which Eatonville finished second in the Nisqually standings and reached the state 1A Tri-District playoffs, where the Cruisers lost to Blaine 2-1 Oct. 30 in a loser-out, first-round match. Graddy scored her team’s goal.
In addition to Graddy, three other Nisqually League players – Seattle Christian teammates Kimber Howard, Morgan Gaston and Erin Swain – were named to the All-State team. WSSCA also picked state all-stars in the other enrollment classifications of 4A, 3A and 2A.
