Smith rejoins Bethel board

3:56 pm January 21st, 2013

Warren Smith, returning to an office he held once before, formally joined the Bethel School Board Jan. 8 during a swearing-in ceremony at a board meeting.
Smith was appointed by the rest of the board last December to replace former member Ron Morehouse, who resigned. Smith was chosen over five other applicants and can run for the office this fall when it comes up for election.
Smith is in his second stint as a Bethel board member. He left the board previously to serve on the state Board of Education.
Also during the Jan. 8 meeting, the board members retained John Manning as board president.
