A former member is rejoining the Bethel School Board.
Warren Smith was chosen by the board Tuesday over four other candidates for an appointment to fill a seat vacated by the resignation in October of Ron Morehouse.
In addition to his previous time on the board, Smith served on the state Board of Education for 11 years. His previous experience also includes four years on the National Assessment Governing Board. Smith is scheduled to officially take office at a Bethel board meeting Jan. 8. He will serve the one year that’s remaining from Morehouse’s four-year term. The seat will be up for election in November 2013.
