Louis Raymond Voelk Jr., surrounded by family, passed away peacefully on November 1st, 2012. He was born in Berwyn, Illinois on May 22, 1949. He served his country during the Vietnam War and for a total of 12 years with both the Army and the Air Force. He also worked as a truck driver for Teamsters.
Corky, as nicknamed by his parents and remembered by many, was the foundation to our family and gives us the strength to carry on. Everyone he loved and cared for experienced a genuine relationship with him.
He is survived by his wife, Georgia Ann Voelk of 43 years; his daughter, Jodie Marie Odom: his son Jason Richard Voelk; four beautiful granddaughters; three handsome grandsons; and many other close family members and friends.
