The Eatonville Cruisers will be the home team but away from home when they meet Meridian this Saturday in a high school football district playoff game in Sumner.
Eatonville is the host school for the game and could have played it on its own field, but the Washington Interscholastic Activities Association requires field turf as the playing surface for post-season competition. Eatonville doesn’t have that, so Sunset Stadium will be the site of the 7 p.m. contest.
The Cruisers have had success there there this season. They beat defending Nisqually League champion and perennial state powerhouse Cascade Christian at Sunset two weeks ago to earn the right to duel Wright for the 2012 Nisqually title. Wright won the showdown 7-6 last Friday.
