Eatonville High’s football team clinched a division title in the Nisqually League by beating Cascade Christian 29-6 Saturday.
Cruiser quarterback Zach Fairhart ran or passed for all four of his team’s touchdowns. The first one, coming in the second quarter on a 25-yard run and coupled with Jesse Bollen’s 21-yard field goal in the first period, put Eatonville ahead to stay at 9-6. Three touchdowns in the third quarter completed the end of defending champion Cascade Christian’s reign at the top of the Nisqually.
Both teams were undefeated against league opponents entering the showdown at Sunset Stadium in Sumner.
Eatonville will face Wright this Friday in University Place in the league championship game. The winner will also earn a first-round bye in the class 1A state playoffs.
