State Patrol asks for accident witnesses

The State Patrol, which is investigating a head-on collision between two vehicles near Orting, wants to hear from any other witnesses that detectives haven’t already contacted.

The crash between a red Pontiac coupe and a silver Toyota sedan occurred at approximately 2 a.m. on July 15 on State Route 162, near 109th Street. Anyone who saw the collision, or either vehicle being driven shortly before the accident, is asked to contact State Patrol detective Trisena John at 253-538-3176 or trisena.john@wsp.wa.gov, spokesman Guy Gill said Tuesday.

The drivers, who are from Puyallup and Auburn, and four passengers, including a 5-year-old child, were taken to hospitals after the accident for treatment of injuries or observation, officials said.
